Terms and Conditions: The Greener Cleaner & Tailor (TGC&T) provides dry cleaning and laundry services to delivery customers (the “Customer”). We process the Customer’s account in accordance with the Customer’s Customer Profile. The following Terms & Conditions are an integral part of the Customer profile and will be adhered to by TGC&T. We reserve the right to change our Terms and Conditions at any time. 

Customer Profile: The information is for TGC&T use only. The Customer Profile enables us to: 1) process your garments per your requests. 2) gives us contact information when we need to contact the Customer about garment issues 3) process credit/debit cards of the Customer with his signature on file. 

Delivery Service: We provide service Monday & Thursday to Katonah & some surrounding areas. We also service the lower Westchester area on Tuesdays.  No Pick-up or delivery will be provided on holidays that which TGC&T is closed. Service always resumes on the next business day on the Monday/Thursday schedule only.  If an item has been held back for cleaning purposes, TGC&T will hold it until next scheduled pick-up. Customers can choose to pick up garment in our store but must call to make arrangements. Pick-up orders in Katonah and some surrounding areas have a strict $20 limit to help us cut back on unnecessary driving pollution. Other towns may have a higher limit depending on driving distance. Orders that are picked up that do not meet the minimum limit, will have the deficit charged to the customer. 

  • Example: Bags are picked up and brought back to our store for processing. We then look inside the bag for your note of the bags contents. We then make sure all garments are accounted for and all stains are marked. If customer had included 2 pants, and 5 laundered shirts, total amount would equal $21.15, therefore no deficit would be charged. If customer had included two 2pce suits, the total amount would total $23.80 and there would be no extra charge. However if customer had left only 1 pants and 3 shirts totaling $11.50, there would be a delivery charge of $8.50. Our prices can be seen on our web page under “prices” tab for your viewing. Another easier way to calculate would be to have a min of 4 pieces of dry cleaning. 
  • Note: TGC&T has the right at any time to cancel future pick-up and deliveries if customer does not comply with our minimum limit, road conditions, distance, or any other factor that would warrant us to discontinue services.  

Delivery Bags:  A personal laundry bag will be appointed to the customer at the time of sign up or first delivery. This bag will be marked with the customers home address and contact information.  Discrepancies with garments placed in the bag will be noted at the time garments are brought into our store for processing. The customer will be contacted before the order is processed. If the Customer does not provide a count, our count must be accepted as recorded by TGC&T and this will constitute the Customer’s complete order.

Care Label Instructions: To protect the Customer’s garments, TGC&T follows the Care Label instructions on each item we process. To the extent the Customer desires to not have the Care Label instructions followed, a Garment Release is required and the Customer assumes all liability for the garment. If a Care Label is missing or has been removed from a garment, TGC&T will process the garment in accordance with guidelines for that type of garment established by the International FabriCare institute. TGC&T assumes no liability for garments that have missing or removed Care Labels. Though this being a rare occurrence, we cannot be responsible for weak, tender, defective or adulterated materials or such conditions that could not be determined prior to processing. In laundering, we cannot guarantee against color loss and shrinkage or against damage to weak and tender fabrics. Responsibility is also disclaimed for trimming, buckles, beads, buttons, mother of pearl buttons, zippers, suede, leather or sequins.

Extent of Liability: Any difference in the number of items sent to TGC&T versus the number returned to the Customer, or any damage to an item, must be reported to TGC&T within 48 hours of delivery of the processed garments. The limit of any claim will not exceed ten (10) times the price of processing any single garment and will be issued as a “store credit” against future orders with TGC&T.

Credit Card Charges: All accounts are processed by Visa, MasterCard or American Express with an account and signature on file.
