What makes us Greener?

sampd883a125ba22dcf91As we said before, tons of dry cleaners market them selves “Green” when they shouldn’t.  We have seen people be fooled by cleaners who do simple things like just take back hangers and call themselves a “green cleaner”. Again, dont get us wrong. Taking back hangers is a great way to reduce landfill waste, but we feel that isn’t enough.

Do Not Be Fooled By These Posers!

“WHAT MAKES DRY CLEANERS REALLY GREEN, IS DOING EVERYTHING & ANYTHING POSSIBLE TO BECOME GREEN TO TODAYS STANDARDS.”

So we asked ourselves how can we become a “Greener” dry cleaner?

greenearth_lgDry Cleaning Solution: From our research, we find that Wet Cleaning & Green Earth Cleaning seem to be the safest and most effective dry cleaning solutions on the market for our customers, and our workers. So we decided to make the switch and do both of these new safer technologies.

recycle-774266Hangers: We realized that hangers go out in the thousands every day to our customers. We find that usually in time, people either have a major hanger castingcollection in their closet or just throw them out and produce more landfill waste. So we decided that as a convenience, and to better help our environment, we will take them back, reuse the ones we can and send out the rest to a plant to be melted into liquid form for casting.

recycleGarment Bags: People love that we take back our hangers but what about all that plastic that covers your clothes. Well, we realize that we cant reuse the plastic because  by the time it gets back to us its usually ripped up or stretched out.  So we dug a little deeper and found that there is a type of plastic that is much more biodegradable then today’s standard plastic garment bags. We teamed up with the supplier and had this plastic made into garment bags that we now use everyday. So now you don’t have to worry about bringing anything back to the store, you can just throw it away. These new biodegradable bags will simply break down much faster than normal plastic bags do.

All you have to do is tell us you want to “go naked”, and when we process your dry cleaning, we use a reuseable garment bag to protect your clothes until you pick them up from our store. Once you pick them up, we remove the bag and you take your clothes home plastic free (”naked”). Watch How Hollywood Goes Naked Below.
